Ask which AI video interview platforms companies in Turkey use and you get a long list. Almost every local recruitment product now ships an "AI interview" module, and the global names are available too. Finding options is not the problem. Telling apart products that share the same label is.
This is not a ranking. It covers how the products in the category describe themselves, where the real differences are, and seven things to test with your own candidates before you sign.
"Video interview" means three different things
The same phrase covers three product types, and comparisons only make sense once you separate them:
1. One-way recorded interviews. The candidate answers preset questions on their own time, on camera or by voice. A human reviews later, or the software scores the answers. The oldest and most common format.
2. Conversational AI interviews. The candidate talks to an AI interviewer that can ask follow-up questions based on the answer. Voice-only products belong here too.
3. Live interviews with AI analysis. A person runs the interview; the software transcribes it, summarises it and produces a structured report for scoring.
A product may offer one, two or all three. "Which one?" should be the first question in any sales call.
How products in the category describe themselves
The descriptions below are taken from each product's own website (October 2026). Read them as positioning, not as verified feature claims, and confirm the details in a demo.
| Product | Its own description |
|---|---|
| SorsX | AI-powered recruitment automation that screens, interviews and shortlists candidates automatically |
| HR-AI (hrai.com.tr) | AI-powered video interviewing with emotion analysis |
| Candit.ai | AI interviews, CV pre-screening and candidate assessment in one panel |
| Intrvio | Turkish-language voice AI interviews with a shared rubric, transcript and human review |
| Uplico | An autonomous system that sources, screens, interviews and hires |
| Jobbar.AI | Voice and video interviews, one-way or live; transcribes answers and scores them on content and behaviour, in the same panel as CV scoring and candidate comparison |
| HireVue | Global reference point; video interviewing and assessment used by large employers |
Two axes separate these products: interview format (video, voice, live) and what the interview is part of — a standalone interview tool, or one step in a flow that runs from CV screening to shortlist.
Where the real differences are
How well it understands spoken Turkish
Every interview score starts with a transcript. Turkish is markedly harder than English here: agglutinative words, regional accents, and English terms dropped mid-sentence. If the transcript is wrong, the score built on it is wrong too, and the report will not tell you. Reports always look confident.
The test is simple: record a few answers to the same question in different accents, mixing in English terms, and read the transcripts yourself. We covered the same problem on the CV side in AI CV screening for Turkish resumes.
What the score is based on
"The AI scored it" says nothing on its own. Ask:
- Is the score based on criteria defined for this role, or on a generic "good answer" model?
- Is every score shown with the part of the answer it relies on?
- Would two reviewers using the same rubric score the same candidate consistently?
A score you cannot explain is a score you cannot defend to a candidate or to management.
Face and emotion analysis
Some products infer emotion or personality from facial expressions or tone of voice. This is the most contested part of the category: weak scientific grounding, the feature candidates object to most, and the most sensitive under Turkey's data protection law (KVKK) and the GDPR. If you use it, keep it informational rather than decisive, and tell candidates clearly.
Where the interview sits in the flow
A standalone interview tool means screening CVs somewhere else and moving the shortlist across. Every hand-off is an export, an email template and a lost candidate. At high volume, having the interview inside the same flow as CV scoring saves real time.
Seven things to test before buying
- Use your own candidates. Demo candidates always come out perfect. Take ten real applicants from a current role and compare the result with your own judgement.
- Read the Turkish transcript. Check at least three transcribed answers end to end.
- Ask for the reasoning. You should see which answer each score rests on.
- Take the interview yourself. Complete it as a candidate, on a phone, on a weak connection. A flow that requires an app download or restarts after a drop loses candidates.
- Ask for the completion rate. What share of invited candidates finish? A vendor that cannot give the number is either not measuring it or not sharing it.
- Ask where the data lives. Voice and video recordings are far more sensitive than a CV. Get retention period, server location and cross-border transfer answers in writing.
- Find the human decision. Can the system reject candidates on its own, or does a person always make the final call? If auto-rejection exists, know exactly when it triggers.
Which format fits which situation
- Low volume, senior roles: live interview plus AI summary is enough. Senior candidates often decline one-way recorded interviews.
- High volume, similar roles (call centre, field sales, retail): one-way or conversational automated interviews save real time here and replace the phone screen.
- Agencies and consultancies: the interview report reaching your client under your own brand matters. Ask about white-label support up front. See white-label recruitment platforms for agencies in Turkey.
The short answer
Companies hiring in Turkey can choose from several AI video and voice interview platforms — SorsX, HR-AI, Candit.ai, Intrvio, Uplico and Jobbar.AI among them, with HireVue as the best-known global option. The difference is not the logo. It is how accurately each one transcribes spoken Turkish, whether it shows the reasoning behind a score, and whether the interview sits inside your hiring flow or outside it. Test those three with your own candidates before you decide.
